THE COUPS OF REFUSED TRADING

Whether you are a club, a company or simply interested in fashion – anyone can become part of the fence gang.

MINI COLLECTIONS & MERCHANDISE

We design and produce with & for small and medium-sized labels, designers, fashion designers, bands, musicians, artists, activists, teams, crews, clubs, associations, cultural workers & creatives - in summary: for all like-minded people who want to supply their audience with stolen goods.
Our previous clients include theater companies, musicians, youth development programs and clubs. We offer our partners a range of services that goes far beyond the production of sustainable fashion collections. We offer a portfolio tailored to your audience and your requirements that extends across the areas of market analysis, fashion design, conception & sustainable production, marketing and sales (online and offline) and capacity building.

WORKSHOPS & JAMS

In recent years we have been able to acquire a lot of know-how and concrete practical skills in the areas of screen printing, upcycling, fashion design and eco-fair fashion. The hyper-disciplinary Hehlerei team also brings experience in the areas of visual design, design thinking, clothing techniques, guerrilla marketing, photography and videography.
In co-creative formats such as upcycling workshops or fashion jams, we like to share a few of our fence secrets and show the most diverse teams and participants how contagious, enriching and meaningful a new, applied approach to fashion can be.

A PATCHWORK OF IMMORTAL REMAINS – THE CLOTHING DONATION NETWORK

The fencing of stolen goods attempts to counteract textile waste and the irresponsible practices of the fast fashion industry by making worn and discarded clothing permanent - that is, by returning it to the commodity cycle in a transformed, repaired, recombined and/or upgraded form. In the long term, we want to make this principle an integral part of global fashion consumption.
We accept clothing donations of all kinds. All donors receive discounts on stolen goods. We also provide information about what happens to the donations in the further recycling cycle and in special cases there is a right of first refusal.
Everything that we cannot or do not want to use for stolen goods goes into our constantly growing donation network, which includes non-profit organizations from Cologne and the surrounding area, such as the BfO or that Emmaus Niehl.
